The patient line runs from there to the electrodes. In a complete cable, both parts are permanently connected. Wear and tear almost always occurs on the patient line because it is moved and cleaned.

How do I know whether I need IEC or AHA?

Refer to the labeling of the existing electrode ends. According to IEC standards, the limb leads are designated R, L, F, and N in red, yellow, green, and black, respectively. The AHA standard uses different letters and colors. Adhere to the standard adopted by your department.

Can I use a 5-core cable with a 3-core device?

Only if the connector and pinout match. The number of wires depends on what the device is evaluating: 3-wire for basic monitoring, 5-wire with a chest lead, 10-wire for a resting ECG with twelve leads. If in doubt, please tell us the device type.

Is a complete cable or a separate system worthwhile?

Separate cables are more economical in operation because, in the event of a break, only the patient line needs to be replaced. A complete cable must always be replaced as a whole. However, for devices that are frequently transported, a complete cable often has a longer mechanical lifespan.

Do you carry cables for older ECG devices?

Yes. Our product range includes everything from current systems to series like GE Hellige, Cardiofax Q, and early ECG models from Nihon Kohden. Please specify the device type and year of manufacture, and we will check the compatibility.

What does the term "clip" or "snap fastener" mean?

It describes the electrode end. Clips grip disposable electrodes with a tab, snap fasteners lock onto electrodes with a button connector. The end must fit the electrodes you are using, not the device.

Assignment by nib

Send us the name of your existing cable or a photo of the connector.
