The port on the cuff is the same for all sizes, so the same hose is used when the cuff size changes \u2013 and the same cuff runs on a single- or dual-hose connection.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The size is determined by arm circumference, not age.<\/strong> An unsuitable cuff width is a known source of error in non-invasive blood pressure measurement \u2013 therefore, the measured circumference is the determining factor.
