Das boso ABI-System misst den Blutdruck an beiden Armen und beiden Beinen gleichzeitig und bildet daraus den Knöchel-Arm-Index – den Quotienten aus Knöchel- und Armdruck. Weil alle vier Manschetten zur selben Zeit arbeiten, dauert die Messung nur wenige Minuten und die vier Werte stammen aus demselben Kreislaufzustand.
Mit diesem Upgrade misst das System zusätzlich die Pulswellengeschwindigkeit. Sie beschreibt, wie schnell sich die Druckwelle des Herzschlags in der Arterie fortbewegt.
Das Upgrade wird an einem bereits vorhandenen boso ABI-System nachgerüstet. Wer neu anschafft, wählt stattdessen das ABI-System, in dem die Pulswellenmessung bereits enthalten ist – beide Wege führen wir.
