6-lead ECG patient lead with clips for the Dräger MultiMed pod
Dräger's MultiMed system divides the cabling into two parts: The main cable – the pod – carries ECG, SpO22 The temperature readings are bundled and sent to the monitor. The patient cable, which leads to the electrodes, is plugged into this. Because the pod has a single connector, the same patient cable can be used between the bedside, the operating room, and the telemetry unit.
This patient line is the part closest to the patient and is connected to a MultiMed trunk cable. It cannot be used without the trunk cable.
The six-lead version has one more chest wall electrode than the five-lead version. It is chosen when two chest wall leads need to be displayed simultaneously.
