3-wire ECG patient cable with clamps for Siemens and Dräger
Dräger's MultiMed system divides the cabling into two parts: The main cable – the pod – carries ECG, SpO22 The temperature readings are bundled and sent to the monitor. The patient cable, which leads to the electrodes, is plugged into this. Because the pod has a single connector, the same patient cable can be used between the bedside, the operating room, and the telemetry unit.
This patient line is the part closest to the patient and is connected to a MultiMed trunk cable. It cannot be used without the trunk cable.
The three-wire version carries the electrodes RA, LA and LL and thus leads I, II and III – the usual range for rhythm monitoring.

The electrode connection is designed as a clamp. It grips the edge of the adhesive electrode and can be released with one hand.
